Mike Williams

Mike is the Owner of the Winery at Versailles. What began as a basement hobby years ago has turned into three wineries across two states, 75 employees, and more than 200,000 gallons of wine being produced every year. Mike's passion and drive, as well as his blood, sweat, and tears have gone into making the winery what it is today. His lifelong motto—"do well (make a good product), do good (work to give back to our communities), and have fun"—is our driving mission to do this day.

Carol Williams

Married to R. Mike Williams for 45 years, Carol’s position in the company has changed over time. When the first winery, in Wilcox, PA, was opened she managed the books and did some design and retail work. As the business grew, Carol left her full time position with a local company to be the retail manager at The Winery at Wilcox. After 8 years, her husband then opened a second winery, here in Versailles, Ohio. The couple moved to the Versailles property on State Route 47 in 2001 and the new winery opened the following year. Carol has been the HR manager for the corporation and is the Marketing Manager here in Versailles. During the early years of her marriage to Mike, the couple lived in Augsburg Germany, where she attended City Colleges of Chicago, and studied marketing and business administration. While there, she also worked in the US Army Library, where she found books on the Wine Districts of Germany. She and husband Mike began visiting German wineries and this began their love affair with wine. While being a wife, and business partner in The Winery at Wilcox, Inc., Carol still finds time for her 2 children, Jamie and Lisa. Son Jamie is now a partner and VP of Operations at the Wilcox location. Daughter Lisa joined the family business in 2011 as Retail/Marketing Manager in Versailles. Carol retired in 2013. Her beloved grandchildren Gregg( wife Beth), Brittany Leigh, Brittney Elizabeth, Rudy, and Lucy, also take a big place in her heart. And now add to that 4 precious great grands, Jackson, Jordan, Henry, and Everley. Today Carol rides her horse, loves to garden, raise unusual chickens, and helps her daughter with horse rescue. Carol currently owns two horses, one of which is a rescue. She is active in her church, Bible Fellowship, where she and Mike head up the Welcome Center and 2nd Cup ministry, is active in the Women’s Prayer Group, and also volunteers at The Brethren Retirement Community.

Jamie Williams

Jamie is the President of operations for the Winery at Wilcox, The Winery at Hunters Valley and The Winery at Versailles. After some time away from the winery, Jamie came back in 2004 to join his father, Mike, in the family business by overseeing Pennsylvania and Ohio operations. Jamie is extremely active in the PA Wine Industry and has served as the President of the Pennsylvania Wine Association. He is currently on the board of the Wine Marketing Research Board and is passionate about putting Pennsylvania Wine on the map.

Betty McKenna

Betty is the Controller at The Winery at Versailles and has been with us since we opened in October 2002. Betty oversees the accounting department and works closely with all the retail locations, not only with the financial tasks but also in retail development, staffing, and sales. Betty is a Darke County local that believes in building a strong community. Betty lives in Ansonia, with her husband Kevin and her three children Katelyn, Devin and Shyann. The entire McKenna family is active in sports, their school and are involved in local sporting leagues through coaching and leadership involvement. Betty’s hobbies include spending time with her family and watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

Lisa Heidenreich

Lisa is the daughter of Winery owner's Mike and Carol and serves as The Winery’s retail, wholesale and Marketing Manager. Coming from a long line of retail, sales, and finance management experience, she joined The Winery family in 2011 after realizing how much she enjoyed the environment. As a wife, mother of three, grandmother of four, dog-mom of four, Lisa loves spending quality time with her family. She’s also an avid lover of horses and spends free time at her equestrian facility, Camelot Farm, and helping rescues through Jan’s Horse Rescue and The Darke County Humane Society. When she’s off on Sundays, you can also catch her reading or catching the Steelers' game.

Maria Weaver

Maria has been employed at The Winery at Versailles as Human Resources Manager for 5 years. Maria earned her Associates Degree in Human Resources from Edison State College and her Bachelors in Business Administration from Ohio University. Maria also works on in our Retail department when needed. Maria is originally from Brownsville, Texas and came to Ohio in 1993 as a migrant worker. She made Darke County her home in 2002. Maria currently lives in Versailles with her family. She enjoys the outdoors and loves the community that she lives in.

Amanda Enicks

Amanda Enicks: Born and raised in Indiana. Married to Chad Enicks and mother to three amazing kids. I started at the winery in April 2006. When I’m not at work I enjoy watching my kiddos at ballgames and curling up with a good book. I absolutely love Christmas and Halloween and just being with my family. I love watching The Office and college basketball, a University of Kentucky fan, Go Big Blue!! I’m a member of my hometowns festival committee and truly love giving back and paying it forward anyway I can.
