From the beginning of their careers in the wine industry, owners Mike and Carol Williams and now their son Jamie Williams, recently taking over as the Wineries’ President, have run their business, as well as their lives, by a simple motto: “Do well, do good, and have fun.” What began as a small winery in Wilcox, PA in 1994 has turned into three wineries across two states, employing more than 75 employees and making more than 200,000 gallons of wine every year.
Since 2002, the Winery at Versailles has been honored to serve our cherished guests, being voted the Best Winery in Ohio 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 by Ohio SIP magazine Reader’s Poll, and Best Winery and Venue every year since 2016 in Darke County by The Daily Advocate Reader’s poll.
We welcome you to our winery to experience rustic charm, award-winning wines, and the quaint allure of small-town living.
While The Winery at Versailles only has approximately 3 acres of grapes planted, we have over 15 local growers in the counties bordering Darke County who grow grapes exclusively for us! We truly believe in the ‘Shop, Buy and Grow Local’ motto!
Red, white, sweet, dry—you name it! We’ve got a wine you're sure to love. We produce over 30 types of wines each year with your tastes in mind, including seasonal varieties for the spring and summer as well as fall and winter!
